Hey you, it's Kaeru!

I would describe myself as a Vtuber, Youtuber, Digital Artist, Character Designer, and just a Geek in general!

My Character Design

Fanart is by no means required, encouraged or discouraged, but is very much appreciated and loved! Please just remember not to misgender me or my body by giving them breasts, feminine clothing, etc. thank you <3
If anyone is curious about how I came up with my character design, I was inspired by a lot of different things.
To start, Kaeru is not my first Fursona/Scalesona, but my second. My first was a very simple green and yellow dragon that
was based off Abronia lizards and crested geckos, two of my favorite reptiles. Kaeru is not so different. They were based heavily off leopard geckos with the spotty pattern and chonky tail, a bit of Abronia with the yellow eye rings which is also a remnant of my old 'sona, a bit of Pukei-Pukei wings and some other minor influences as it's my favorite Monster Hunter monster of all time. I wanted ridiculously big ears because I wanted them to be able to be very cute and very expressive in both 2D art and in 3D as my Vrchat/Vtuber model. Kaeru is a Dragonwrought Kobold, which is a type of kobold in D&D that possess wings and some magical abilities, which I desired. I made the ears and wings blue to compliment the green, and was incorporated from an old and now-abandoned kobold OC I had designed previously. I'm not entirely sure why the horns and fingernails are pink, it just sorta came to me. I like to think of it as a small connection to my personal growth in regards to my own femininity. As a young AFAB person who struggled with my identity before I came to the realization that I was Nonbinary, I vehemently rejected anything stereotypically feminine, especially a deep seething hatred towards the color pink and what it represented. Now that I have had some time as an out Nonbinary person, I have found empowerment through expressing parts of femininity that I once denied myself. I'm not afraid of makeup anymore, and in fact learned to do much cooler and more colorful eye makeup than the bare-minimum I used to do just to fit in at school. I don't hate pink anymore. It's a small, but valued part of me now.
As for their clothes, I've always loved cute patterned button-up shirts, bowties and brightly colored suspenders. It expresses the exact soft-masc aesthetic that makes me feel the most comfortable.
